(Finished May 8th, 2025) Part 1 of The Twentyish Best Soundtrack Songs Of All-Time (Maybe?)

Hello,

I've adapted this list from Billboard's top 75 soundtrack songs of all-time. Whereas they use stats and other unbiased methodologies I am using my 100% bias in selecting what songs go on this list. I can't believe how many songs on this list are from the late 70s and the 80s. That was truly the best time for songs from soundtracks. The newest song on this list is six years old, it's Post Malone and Swae Lee's "Sunflower".

Let the feels begin. 1) Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes "Up Where We Belong":

Bonus Song Dire Straits "Tunnel of Love":

2) Diana Ross "Theme From Mahogany (Do You Know Where You Going To)":

3) Frankie Valli "Grease":

Bonus songs: I've always been a fan of this song from "Grease" as well. The "Grease" Soundtrack is an amazing soundtrack. Frankie Valli "Beauty School Dropout":

Stockard Channing "There Are Worse Things That I Could Do":

Although I've heard these "Purple Rain" songs probably hundreds of times, they still sound as fresh today as they did in 1984. 4) Prince "Let's Go Crazy":

Bonus Songs: Prince "Baby, I'm A Star":

Prince "When Doves Cry":

5) Peter Cetera "The Glory of Love":

6) John Parr "St. Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion)":

Bonus song David Foster "Love Theme From St. Elmo's Fire":

7) Prince "Kiss":

8) Jon Bon Jovi "Blaze of Glory":

9) Seal "Kiss From A Rose":

Bonus song: U2 "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me":

10) Ray Parker Jr. "Ghostbusters":

Bonus Song: The Thompson Twins  "In The Name of Love":

11) Huey Lewis and The News "The Power of Love":

Bonus Song: Huey Lewis and The News "Back In Time":
