(Finished May 17th, 2025) Part 1 of The Best Duets of the 1970s

Hello,

I'm surprised there are so many great duets from the 70s. I had to do a lot of work just to get enough songs for two blogs. Admittedly on some of these songs I'm stretching the definition of what a duet is.

1) Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway "The Closer I Get To You":

2) Donna Summer and Barbra Streisand "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)":

3) John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John "You're The One That I Want":

4) Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. "You Don't Have To Be A Star (To Be In My Show)":

5) Seals and Crofts "Summer Breeze":

6) Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond "You Don't Bring Me Flowers":

7) England Dan and John Ford Coley "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight":

8) Peaches and Herb "Reunited":

9) Peaches and Herb "Shake Your Groove Thing":

10) Elton John and Kiki Dee "Don't Go Breaking My Heart":

11) Seals and Crofts "Hummingbird":

12) John Stewart and Stevie Nicks "Gold":

13) John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John "Summer Nights":

14) Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn "Louisiana Woman and Mississippi Man":

15) England Dan and John Ford Coley "Nights Are Forever Without You":

16) The Kendalls "Sweet Desire":

17) Kenny Loggins and Stevie Nicks "Whenever I Call You 'Friend'":
