I want to focus on solo songs by members of popular 80s bands. Several bands and solo stars popped into my mind. The main question is which bands should I include and not include. I know that David Bowie was in Tin Machine in the 80s, but I can't include him in this blog series. However I've decided to include John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison. Black Sabbath did record two CDs with Black Sabbath in the early 80s, thus I will include him.

Today at 5:30pm my #8 BYU Cougars welcome #2 ranked Notre Dame. I haven't been this excited for a game for a long time. I'm not going to lie I think Notre Dame is going to win this game, but you never know. That's why they play the games.
More pressure to win is on Notre Dame than BYU. BYU is the home team, that and the altitude will give the Cougs an advantage in regard to those things.

I watched the Kurt Warner movie "American Underdog" tonight. It's a great movie and it's such a heart warming, unbelievable, in overcoming all odds just to reach your dream. He literally won a Super Bowl in his first season as a starting NFL quarterback. Trent Green had to be injured for him to get his chance, but when he got that chance he took full advantage of it. He had learned earlier to always be ready. Honestly I thought I would be crying in this, but I did not. If they would have played the emotional aspect more I would have cried like a baby.
The first part of this movie is set in the early 90s and a few of those songs are in this movie. 1990-1993 had so many great country songs that I wanted to publish a few blogs about that amazing music.

These blogs are out of order because I have two different blog series. The first is the definitive songs of the 80s and the second is the best songs of each year 1980-1989.
I have nothing to do with this Kickstarter project, I'm not even a backer. Of course I would love to see this movie but it's not important enough to me that I'll contribute to it.
What does it take to have the most and best representative music of the 80s? There are several groups that need to be represented. We need at least one song by Madonna, Michael Jackson, Duran Duran, Cyndi Lauper, Def Leppard, INXS, U2, Elton John, Billy Joel, Journey, Styx, Billy Idol, REO Speedwagon, The Smiths, The Police, Sheena Easton, The Thompson Twins, Motley Crue, Poison, Warrant, Guns N' Roses, ZZ Top, David Bowie, Tears For Fears, Lionel Richie, Whitney Houston, Foreigner, Heart, Bon Jovi, Bob Marley and the Wailers, The Bangles, The Go-Go's, Bryan Adams, The Pointer Sisters

My favorite magazine currently is Classic Rock. I love how many great articles it has and it has the best review section of any magazine. Also it's supposed to be a monthly magazine, but it feels like I get an issue every three weeks. These are the 15 most intriguing/interesting CDs/DVDs.
I'll be using the current tracklists, rather than what the tracklists may have been November of last year.
I know if you click on the play button the videos don't play. I hate when a song/video only has one picture for most of the songs. Since the videos don't play I try to vary the picture from the video. There aren't a lot of choices for this particular CD. For this blog specifically I varied those pictures as much as I could.
I'm not sure what Classic Rock magazine but I think this CD is terrible. I mean there are a couple of decent songs but for the most part it's a pretty forgettable CD.

This blog is inspired by one of the greatest songs of all-time, Eric Church's "Springsteen", a song about a very memorable relationship that ended. There's no one like that for me, but still each time I hear one of those songs it hits me right in the feels. These songs are those we look back on with nostalgia/ feeling wistful.
