This is a deep dive into the music of Berlin, the 80's band who's still touring. This blog is inspired by 3 things. 1) In working on the top songs of 1988, one of those songs was by Berlin. I posted a video of them from a recent performance. They still sound great and lead singer Terri Nunn has become ever more beautiful through the years. 2) I stumbled across what I'm sure will be a short lived 80's radio station, Rewind 100.7. Why do I think it will be short lived, it's because those kind of radio stations are short lived. I liked their mix today in the short time I listened to them. They played Prince, Def Leppard and When In Rome's "The Promise". 3) Berlin will be playing in concert here in Salt Lake on September 7th. It looks like Berlin is the headliner. I thought this would be as good as time as any to do a deep dive into the music of Berlin.
Five of the best songs from their 2013 CD "Animal".

"Shayla" Blondie vs. Berlin This is decent, I just thought it would be cooler than it is. (The person who posted this video writes "This is a mash up of the Blondie song Shayla, taken from their album Eat To The Beat. Put against the Berlin cover taken from the albums: Platinum Girl - A Tribute To Blondie and Berlin - Live: Sacred & Profane")
