(Finished May 6th, 2019) Woodstock 1969, Part 1

Hello,

This blog is in process of being altered, updated and improved.

Inspired by tonight's episode of "American Idol", here are some of the best and most famous songs from the original Woodstock. The original Woodstock was 50 years ago this year. The Idols tried, but they were not even close to the originals. Especially the two singers that tried to take on a Janis Joplin song.

The lady singer doesn't help and Cocker perfected this song in the years afterwards.

1) Joe Cocker "With A Little Help From My Friends":

Listen to that passion!! 2) Janis Joplin "Piece of My Heart":

3) The Who "My Generation":

4) Canned Heat "A Change Is Gonna Come":

5) Country Joe and the Fish "Feel Like I'm Fixin' To Die Rag":

6) Jefferson Airplane "Somebody To Love":

7) Santana "Evil Ways";

8) Jimi Hendrix "The Star Spangled Banner":

9) Richie Havens "Freedom":

10) Joan Baez "We Shall Overcome":
