(Finished August 21st, 2022) Part 4 of The Best Of Yacht Rock: Greatest Hits

Hello,

On these later Yacht Rock blogs I'll be posting the greatest hits of Yacht Rock. In other words songs that pretty much of a certain age will know. Pretty much all of these songs are classic.

Thanks to Wikipedia.org for this yacht rock definition:

Yacht rock (originally known as the West Coast sound or adult-oriented rock) is a broad music style and aesthetic commonly associated with soft rock, one of the most commercially successful genres from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s. Drawing on sources such as smooth soulsmooth jazz, R&B, and disco. Common stylistic traits include high-quality production, clean vocals, and a focus on light, catchy melodies. Its name, coined in 2005 by the makers of the online video series Yacht Rock, was derived from its association with the popular Southern Californian leisure activity of sailing.

I did the first one of these early January of this year. That was 20 Obscure Yacht Rock songs. I now have 6 blogs ready to go of the greatest Yacht Rock songs, this is Part 4 of Yacht Rock greatest hits.

(Finished August 18th, 2022) Part 10 of Sleazy and/or Crunchy Rock

Hello,

Inspired by the first episode of "Peacemaker" and it's mid-level hair metal soundtrack I wanted to post a blog about crunchy and sleazy rock songs. I found quite a few songs from Leighton and Tracey Stead's 80's and 90's Glam Sleaze and Rock 'N Roll YouTube collection of videos.

As for the "Peacemaker" show there's a lot of language and sexual storylines. I was less than impressed by the first episode. I wasn't much impressed with "Peacemaker", but new to Prime is "Reacher". I watched the first three episodes of it the other night. It was plenty of action and Reacher is much easier to root for than shallow Peacemaker.

Rock On!!!!

155) Whitesnake "Slide It In":

156) Pink Floyd "Young Lust":

157) Babylon A.D. "Hammer Swings Down":

159) Skillet "Monster":

160) Jackyl "Dirty Little Mind":

161) Vixen "Edge Of A Broken Heart":

162) Cats In Boots "Shotgun Sally":

163) Aldo Nova "Fantasy":

164) Skid Row "I Remember You":

165) Cinderella "Heartbreak Station":

166) Vixen "Cryin'":

Thanks to "Cobra Kai" Season 4 for introducing this song to me. 167) Power Tool "Two Heads Are Better Than One":

168) Cinderella "Night Songs":

Not exactly the band you think of whenever you hear the words sleazy or crunchy.
169) Survivor "Didn't Know It Was Love":

170) Wraithchild America "No Deposit, No Return":
