(Finished January 14th, 2023) Part 1 of The Best Songs from 90s Soundtracks (Not The Best 90s Soundtracks)

Hello,

These are the best songs from 90s movie soundtracks. Those include songs released the same time as the movie or any time preceding the movie.

I love Whitney Houston but "I Will Always Love You" is one of my least favorite songs. Thus that won't be on this blog. Neither will the silly "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" or sillier "Animal Crackers" from "Armageddon". Although the "Armageddon" soundtrack is so much better than it's movie. I couldn't wait for that movie to end. It came at the time when many movies were made that focused on a lot of action, which the filmmakers hoped took away attention from the lack of quality story. Maybe the great songs were made to take away from the lack of story as well?

A movie that should have been so much better than it was, "Grosse Pointe Blank":

1) Violent Femmes "Blister In The Sun":

2) The English Beat "Mirror In The Bathroom":

3) Queen and David Bowie "Under Pressure":

4) Guns N' Roses "Live and Let Die":

5) Faith No More "We Care A Lot":

6) Pete Townshend "Let My Love Open The Door" (E Cola Mix):

"The Bodyguard" trailer:

Whitney Houston was so spectacular in so many ways. Long live her music. 7) Whitney Houston "I Have Nothing":

8) Whitney Houston "I'm Every Woman":

9) Whitney Houston "Queen of the Night":

The "Pulp Fiction" trailer:

10) Kool and the Gang "Jungle Boogie":

11) Urge Overkill "Girl You'll Be A Woman Soon":

12) Ricky Nelson "Lonesome Town":

13) Dusty Springfield "Son of a Preacher Man":

The SubUrbia trailer:

From "SubUrbia" 14) Gene Pitney "Town Without Pity":

"That Thing You Do" trailer:

The Wonders "That Thing You Do":

The "Magnolia" trailer":

These next two songs are from "Magnolia" 16) Supertramp "The Logical Song":

17) Supertramp "Goodbye Stranger":
