(Started September 30th, 2024) The Most Successful Years of Billy Joel and Sting

Hello,

Today I bought tickets to see Billy Joel and Sting in concert in May 2025 here in Salt Lake. As always I'll be attending with my rock concert girlfriend. I'm not sure when Billy Joel's most successful year was so I Googled it. Google said the year was 1985 as that when he released his double greatest hits CD. It has sold over 11.5 million copies of the double CD so far. I'm going to focus on the songs from that CD from 1980-1983. This will be my fifth time seeing Billy Joel. He puts on a tremendous show.

Now for Sting I don't have to think about it too long. Those years are 1983-1985 following the release of "Synchronicity" and his first solo CD. After the release of that CD they were briefly the biggest band in the world and then they broke up. Sting's first CD is "The Dream of The Blue Turtle" This will be my second time seeing Sting, I was never able to see The Police. A tip of the hat to the other members of The Police, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers.

1) Billy Joel "You May Be Right":

2) The Police with Sting as a member.  "Synchronicity 1":

3) Billy Joel "It's Still Rock and Roll To Me":

4)  The Police with Sting as a member. "Walking In Your Footsteps":

5) Billy Joel "Don't Ask Me Why":

6)  The Police with Sting as a member. "Synchronicity 2":

7) Billy Joel "Pressure":

This song was originally a Police song. 8) Sting featuring Bruce Springsteen.  "Every Breath You Take":

9) Billy Joel "Allentown":

10)  The Police with Sting as a member. King of Pain":

11) Billy Joel "Goodnight Saigon":

12) The Police with Sting as a member. "Wrapped Around Your Finger":

13) Billy Joel "Tell Her About It":

14) The Police with Sting as a member. "Murder By Numbers":

Warning: white boy dancing about to appear on your screen. 15) Billy Joel "Uptown Girl":

16) Sting "If You Love Somebody, Set Them Free":

17) Billy Joel "The Longest Time":

18) Sting "Love Is The Seventh Wave":

19) Billy Joel "You're Only Human (Second Wind)":

20) Sting "Russians":

21) Billy Joel "The Night Is Young":

22) Sting "We Work The Black Seam":

(Finished September 24th, 2024) Part 6 of The Best of the Best- The Most Deserving Diamond Certified CDs

Hello,

These are the best of the best diamond certified CDs. To be a diamond CD at least 10 million units have to be sold. I'll only be focusing on original CDs and not any greatest hits collections. Although some of these CDs feel like they are greatest hits collections. I'm only making an exception for Bob Marley's "Legend". I know that's a greatest hits collection, but it seems it was meant to raise awareness of the great music of Bob Marley and The Wailers. Not all Diamond CDs are equal. I'll post the six or more best songs from each CD.

16) Prince and the Revolution "Purple Rain" "Let's Go Crazy":

"Take Me With U":

"The Beautiful Ones":

"When Doves Cry":

"I Would Die 4 U":

"Baby I'm A Star":

17) Whitney Houston "Whitney Houston" "You Give Good Love":

"Someone For Me":

"Saving All My Love For You":

"How Will I Know":

"All At Once":

"Greatest Love of All":

One of Led Zeppelin's 5 diamond CDs. 18) Led Zeppelin "2" "Whole Lotta Love":

"What Is and What Should Never Be":

"The Lemon Song":

"Thank You":

"Heartbreaker":

"Living Loving Maid (She's Just A Woman)":

"Ramble On":
