(Finished February 1st, 2020) Selected Best Cover Songs of All-Time: K-O, Songs 51-67

Hello,

Thanks to Wikipedia.org for all of the biographical info.

Chic originated this song, this is 51) Nile Rodgers and Chic featuring Lady Gaga's cover of  "I Want Your Love":

Joan Baez first recorded this song in 1962, her version is completely different than the version by Led Zeppelin. I don't think anyone will ever top the mighty Zep's version.
52) Led Zeppelin "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You":

This song is by Tears For Fears originally. This is one of the most interesting cover versions. I love the original, but I love what Lorde has done with this classic 80s song.
53) Lorde "Everybody Wants To Rule The World":

The first person who sang this song was Ritchie Valens. 54) Los Lobos "La Bamba":

The 70's soul and funk band Rose Royce, who's most well known for "Car Wash", originally sang this song. 55) Madonna "Love Don't Live Here Anymore":

From the "Evita" Original Broadway Soundtrack. This is just an incredibly great song, but so are most of the songs on the "Evita" soundtrack. 56) Madonna "Another Suitcase In Another Hall":

Peggy Lee was the first person who broke this song big. I like Madonna's version but I think Peggy Lee's version is the best. 57) Madonna "Fever":

Peggy Lee's version:

This is a traditional Christmas song that has been turned on it's head by the McKenzie Brothers.
58) McKenzie Brothers "Twelve Days of Christmas":

Originally this song was first kicking butt by Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.
59) Metallica "Turn The Page":

First the Beatles busted this song out, then Charles Manson took over and that was followed by U@ taking it back from Charles Manson. 60) Motley Crue "Helter Skelter":

Brownsville Station first busted out this song, but honestly Motley Crue's version is so much better. 61) Motley Crue "Smokin' In The Boys Room":

Dionne Warwick first sang a demo of this song and Lou Johnson had the first charted version of this song. 62) Naked Eyes "Always Something There To Remind Me":

Merrilee Rush took this song to #7 in 1968 and Juice Newton took this song to #4 in 1981. Juice's version is considerably better. 63) Juice Newton "Angel of The Morning":

Lead Belly first released this song in the 40s. But the thing that really broke this song was out when Nirvana sang it on their Unplugged show. I think it might have been Nirvana's finest musical moment. 64) Nirvana "Where Did You Sleep Last Night":

First it was in the "Phantom of the Opera" Original Broadway Soundtrack. Then Nightwish put their heavy touch on it. 65) Nightwish "Phantom of the Opera":

The first band that broke this song was The Mighty Zep, but I love Karen O's very interesting twist on it. 66) Karen O "Immigrant Song":

The Beatles first released this song from their 1970 CD "Let It Be". Billy Ocean had this song on his 1984 CD "Suddenly". 67) Billy Ocean "The Long and Winding Road":
