(Started May 5th, 2020, Updated April 27th, 2024) Part 2 of Best Songs That Start With The Letter J
Hello,
I started this blog over three years ago and I finish it today.
Sometimes it's hard to come up with new blog topics. Cinco De Mayo seemed too obvious, after racking my brain I came up with best songs and bands that start with the letter J. Next blog will be the best bands that start with the letter J. As usual, I'm trying to focus on less well known songs.
23) Sinead O'Connor "Jerusalem":

(Finished April 23rd, 2024) Part 10 of Songs That Meant Something To Me In The 80s, Songs 154-171
Previously I worked at Lowes and they're a store that plays a preponderance of 80s music. As an old fogie and a member of Generation X I love 80s music. Two of the better songs that were played were Prince's "Let's Go Crazy" and Fleetwood Mac's "Hold Me". I now work at a hospital and I miss not have songs playing while working. But hey it's a much better job.
170) a-ha "Take On Me":
171) Howard Jones "No One Is To Blame":

(Finished April 9th, 2024) Part 9 of Best Songs of 1991: Alphabetically By Musician
Hello,
I started this blog series a couple of years ago. What are some of the best songs from 1991? I've done my best to make sure the song was released on a CD or as a single in 1991.
In February 2023 I went back and revamped these blogs. Now in January 2024 I'm again revamping these blogs, making them better and adding more songs. 1991 was truly one of the greatest years for music.
Great albums released in 1991 include two Guns N' Roses "Use Your Illusion" CDs, Metallica's so called "Black" album, Pearl Jam's "Ten", U2's "Achtung Baby", Roxette's "Joyride", Bonnie Raitt's "Luck of The Draw", Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers "Into The Great Wide Open", Red Hot Chili Peppers "Blood Sugar Sex Magick", Skid Row's "Slave To The Grind", R.E.M.'s "Out of Time" and many others.
137) Alan Jackson "Chattahoochee":
139) Alan Jackson "Someday":
140) Alan Jackson "Dallas":
141) Alan Jackson "Love's Got A Hold On You":
142) Alan Jackson "Midnight In Montgomery":
146) Michael Jackson "Give In To Me":
147 Michael Jackson "In The Closet":
148) Michael Jackson featuring Heavy D "Jam":
149) Michael Jackson "Remember The Time":
150) Michael Jackson "Who Is It":
151) Michael Jackson "Why You Wanna Trip On Me":
152) Hal Ketchum "Five O'Clock World":
153) Hal Ketchum "I Know Where Loves Live":
