(Finished September 5th, 2020) The Best of Brat Rock, Part 1

Hello,

I was listening to Louis XIV's "Slick Dogs and Ponies"- which isn't a very good CD- I started to think about what I'm calling brat rock. Those songs might still be good, but talk about less serious subjects, are sarcastic, mock things- including themselves- and don't take much anything seriously. That made me think of songs by Blink-182, Jet, the Fratellis, early Green Day. In fact Green Day seems to acknowledge the sound they were going for in their song "Brat". The Smiths might be the grand dad of brat rock. If "Girlfriend In A Coma" isn't brat rock then I don't know what is.

These next six songs are by Louis XIV.
Again this isn't a great CD, but I do love this song 1) "Air Traffic Control":

2) "Finding Out True Love Is Blind":

3) "Illegal Tender":

4) "Louis XIV":

5) "Pledge of Allegiance":

6) "A Letter To Dominique":

These next five songs are by Green Day:
7) "Basket Case":

8) "Brain Stew":

9) "Longview":

10) "Brat":

Definitely a very bratty title. 11) "Geek Stink Breath":

These next songs are by Fall Out Boy:
12) "Thnks fr th Mmrs":

13) "Sugar, We're Goin Down":

14) "A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More "Touch Me":

15) "Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner":

16) "I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy And All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me":

One of the least bratty of bratty rock bands. 17) The Bravery "Honest Mistake":

18) "Tyrant":

19) "Give In":

20) "Public Service Announcement":
