Hello,
I watched the first episode of the "Daisy Jones and the Six" series. The first episode is mostly 1968 to 1970. It captures the great music then, some of the songs from that era just so good. I wanted to trip the light fantastic on this series of blogs from the best songs of those years.
In some ways those songs seem so innocent, but hiding a darker truth underneath. It feels like there's a big societal change coming. That darker undercurrent was seen with the student protests of Vietnam, the 1968 Democratic National Convention riots and the chaos at the Altamont Rolling Stones concert. But also we had the mostly peaceful Woodstock concert and of course the moon landings, which seemed to bring Americans together. It certainly was an interesting time.
Anyway I watched the first episode Track 1: "Come and Get It" and it was a very good episode. The book is good and it seems like the TV series is going to even be better.

I've included this song because it's the first episode of "Daisy Jones". The song is actually a year before the years for this blog. 94) Strawberry Alarm Clock "Incense and Peppermints":
