Hello,
This is inspired by (alright stolen) from Entertainment Weekly, when they were a magazine they posted the Top Ten songs from x number of years ago. The original chart was posted by Billboard Magazine. This 1986 Top Ten is such a great example of the amazing music of the 80s. I love how many different genres are represented here. There's rock, pop, old school soul, new wave, country and one of Michael Jackson's best songs. About the only thing we are missing is the great rap and some hair metal. Hair metal was still bubbling under at this point. By my count, there are about 5 different genres represented in this Top 17. This wasn't a one time thing- this happened throughout the 80s. You could turn on the radio and hear a Prince song, followed by Europe and then followed by Tears For Fears. The 80's may be over, but long live the 80's.

When I think of my favorite Bob Seger songs, and there are a lot, this song never comes to mind. Looking at my iTunes it would be about my 30th favorite Bob Seger song. In the four years it has been on my iTunes I have only listened to it twice. While it's a perfectly fine song I'm surprised it charted this high.
2) Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band "Shame On The Moon":
Now this song is unforgettable!! 1) Michael Jackson "Billie Jean":
