The Dodgers traded for Shane Victorino to help them down MLB's regular season stretch. He long has been one of those players that has annoyed me. Victorino is one of those fiery players that you hate unless he's on a team you are cheering for. He's long been a pain in the Dodgers side. Maybe he can have that Kirk Gibson like temperament that will drive the Dodgers to a World Series title. 24 years is a long time for the Dodgers to go without a World Series title.
I was sad that the Dodgers lost out on Ryan Dempster. Instead he went to Texas, who does need any more help. Both of these moves continue the trend for the best players to end up on a few teams. Those great players seem to be less spread out over fewer teams now.
