themusicaddict's Top 106 Greatest 80's Bands #35, Loverboy: Their Best 80's Era Songs Part 3: The Top Ten (Finished July 4th, 2017)

Hello,

Wow, this performance is really rough. Although Loverboy did release a live CD from back in the day, there are few live performances of their songs from the 80s. Instead what we have is latter day live recordings with a bloated Mike Reno, a singer that struggles to hit those same notes he hit years ago. Since most of the performances from the last few years are less than desirable, I've chosen not to include those. This is an example of a singer that has lost a lot over the years, but hey who hasn't? To find out the song's actual ranking scroll down.

"This Could Be The Night":

Since this is a duet, not officially Loverboy, I didn't include it in the countdown. However if I had it would have definitely been in the top ten. I love this song and it's from one of my favorite 80's movies "Footloose".  This is Mike Reno and Ann Wilson "Almost Paradise":

10) "Prime of Your Life":

This is how this song should sound. 9) "This Could Be The Night" (studio version):

8) "Queen of the Broken Hearts":

7) "Strike Zone":

6) "When It's Over":

5) "Turn Me Loose":

4) "Hot Girls In Love":

3) "Lovin' Every Minute Of It":

Although today is Tuesday July 4th and I'm at the end of a four day weekend I'm still already 2) "Working For The Weekend":

One of the few live videos I could find when Loverboy was in their prime. This is them at the peak of their powers. 1) "The Kid Is Hot Tonite":
