Sunday night, October 1st, 2017 was the night that a 64 year deranged mad man (because who else could shoot hundreds of people?) fired on the Route 91 country music fest. Amongst the acts that participated include Maren Morris, Jason Aldean, Jake Owen, Brothers Osborne and Big & Rich were part of the lineup. The attack occurred during Aldean's set.
These Big & Rich songs seems appropriate here, "Holy Water":
"Saved":
"Dear Hate" (featuring Vince Gill):
Maren Morris has released this song and says 100% of the proceeds with go to Music City Cares Fund. (according to E news.)
"I Could Use A Love Song":
"80's Mercedes":
In a time where some news media want to get the story out first, they sometimes rush an inaccurate story just to be first. That seems to be the case with the mystery of Tom Petty's life. The first I heard about this story is that the LAPD denying that Tom Petty has died. That seemed to be generally accepted for awhile. Over the last couple of hours news has been trending that he's still alive. Unfortunately now the confusion is news is how is he's doing. The consensus is that he collapsed Sunday night, was rushed to the hospital and is now in who knows what kind of level of duress. Has Tom Petty really died? Late Monday night, the answer appears to be "yes", abcnews.com confirms Petty had died. :
The news has come that Tom has died. As an 80's music lover, this makes me very sad. Long live rock n' roll, long live Tom Petty. In a video that seems to be from his last performance, this is "Free Falling":
"Breakdown" from 1985:
"You Don't Know How It Feels":
"Don't Do Me Like That":
"The Waiting":
"Don't Come Around Here No More";
"Even The Losers":
"Runnin' Down A Dream":
A bit of an oddball song, but a great song. "Zombie Zoo":
"Into The Great Wide Open":
