Hello,
I received a clothing catalog in the mail today, it's for a catalog for 32 Bar Blues. Why am I telling you this? It's because it has some pretty cool clothes in it- I'm not really a person that cares much about clothes. But they have some cool T-shirts, for Pink Floyd, The Police, Leadbelly and others. They also have a whole lot of other cool looking clothes. But they also have CDs by jazz and blues singer Veronica Swift and also blues professional Dion DiMucci. I have decided to build this blog around the musical references found in that catalog.
1) Veronica Swift "There Will Be Another You":
2) "Embraceable You":
I love this very bluesy take. 3) "Do Nothing Until You Hear From Me":
4) "Pennies From Heaven":
5) "It Don't Mean A Thing":
6) "Confession/ The Other Woman";
7) "You've Got To Be Carefully Taught";
8) Dion Dimucci "Take It Back":
9) Featuring G.E. Smith. "Hey Diddle Diddle":
10) featuring Eric Clapton "If You Wanna Rock and Roll":
11) featuring Peter Frampton "There Was A Time":
12) "My Stomping Ground":
The old blues standard, this seems to be a song that every blues musician has to cover. 13) "Red House":
14) Pink Floyd "Live at Pompeii" "One of These Days":
15) "Echoes":
16) "A Saucerful of Secrets":
17) "On The Run":
The Police "Ghost In The Machine": 18) "Spirits In The Material World":
19) "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic":
featuring Bono 20) "Invisible Sun":
21) "Demolition Man":
