Elton John is my #26 Greatest 80's Era Musician. Slowly but surely I've been working through his CDs. But since he comes from the generation of musicians who used to release a CD almost every year he has a lot more CDs to work through than many other musicians. While I'm in the process of doing that, I'm about halfway done now. I wanted to post a couple of blogs with some of his best non-80's era songs and some of his more recent songs.
"Your Song":
"Take Me To The Pilot":
"Border Song":
"Burn Down The Mission":
"Tiny Dancer":
"Levon":
"Madman Across The Water":
"Honky Cat":
"Rocket Man":
"Daniel":
"Crocodile Rock":
This was also a hit later, at least a revised version, after the death of Princess Diana. Originally the song is about Marilyn Monroe. "Candle In The Wind":
