I'm not sure how I missed Billy Gibbons, of ZZ Top, solo work. He has three solo, essentially blues CDs. The third of those three CDs comes out Friday, it is "Hardware". The car on the cover is a homage to ZZ Top's heyday. For purposes of this blog I mean contemporary blues within the last 10 to 15 years.

I've tried to do this series of blogs and then given up on it several times. However this time I'm sure I have a better plan and that it might actually work. As of now I'm coming up with my Top 1200ish greatest songs of all-time. Although I might have to go a couple of songs beyond that, thus the ish in the title.
Now I'm working on a list of songs that are no-doubters and will for sure be in my Top 1200. I plan on having 1 list of 1200ish songs as my first tier. I plan on having a second and third tier of 100 greatest songs of all-time (GSOAT). I'm only one person and putting this list together won't be quick. I'll be updating this blog frequently. The artists are in alphabetical order so it's easier to keep track of the songs on this list. The number in front of the songs is my way to keep track of how many songs I've posted.
I don't know if any of these songs will finish in the Top 1200ish songs of all-time or not. Some will, some won't. Even if they don't make it these are still great songs.

I've tried to do this series of blogs and then given up on it several times. However this time I actually have a plan and that might actually work. I'm coming up with my Top 900 songs of all-time, although it might break out a couple of songs beyond that. When I thought that there was only 900 GSOAT I was incredibly naive. Now my goal is to keep it to about 900ish songs, but it feels like that won't be enough either.
Currently I'm working on a list of songs that are no-doubters and will for sure be in the Top 900. I hope to have 1 list of 900 songs as my first tier of greatest songs ever. I'm only one person and putting this list together won't be quick. However I'll be updating these blogs frequently. These are the only no doubters Top 900ish All-Time Greatest Hits. They're in alphabetical order so it's easier to keep track of the songs on this list. The number in front of the songs is a way for me to keep track of how many songs I've posted. As of May 15th, 2021 I have an unknown GSOAT. When I can I update the quantity of songs on my GSOAT blogs.

I'm trying to find a classic song I heard the other day. It's a song I loved back in the day, but I had completely forgotten it. Randomly I heard it the other day, but cannot for the life of me remember who sang it. It seems to me it was the Statler Brothers, Oak Ridge Boys or maybe the Gatlin Brothers. There's something about some time of building or lobby. I will eventually figure it out. Please join me as I'm doing some googling to try and find it. But in the mean time I'm going to be listening to some of the greatest country songs of all-time. So many of these songs have many memories associated with them.
After researching and trying to find this song all night long I wasn't successful. I'll keep working on it until I figure out what that mysterious song is.
