For some reason I had two copies of this song on my iPod until this morning. One of her lesser known songs, but still an amazing song. 1) Madonna "The Power of Goodbye":
2) Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers "Don't Come Around Here No More":
3) Shontelle "Impossible":
I love the RHCP version of this song and kinda didn't pay much attention to Stevie's version until the other day. Then I was reminded how funky the original is. 4) Stevie Wonder "Higher Ground":
Couldn't he just have squeezed a bit more passion out of this song? 5) Joe Cocker "With A Little Help From My Friends":
I first heard this song last night thanks to YouTube. 6) Shannon "Give Me Tonight" (12" Version):

I know, I know but I love this song so much. I don't care that it's corny. 10) Styx "Mr. Roboto":
I'm not a bit Coldplay fan, but this song is a moment of genius. 11) Coldplay "Fix You":
This is a great, great song but I'm surprised it has 95 million YouTube views. Guessing accurately the number of YouTube views is foolhardy. 50) The Talking Heads "Psycho Killer":

I wanted to post something of what my blog looks like while it's still in the rough draft stage. Sometimes I post the wrong video for the song listed, I usually fix that before the final publishing. As I'm working on this blog I'm also working on a blog about songs with the Number Two in the title and my still not quite finished countdown blogs. I'm ready to start countdown blogs for both Journey and Meat Loaf. But I'm a pretty threadbare operation so I only have so much time to work on my blogs.
As always my blogs are alive and can be fixed, updated and changed at any time. I will be publishing polished versions of these blogs eventually.
Thanks to Pitchfork, NME.com and my faulty memory for providing the songs for this list. Eventually this will become a much more polished collection of blogs.
Only 13,000 YouTube views, that's a crime. 1) Waylon Jennings

The Wallflowers are one of my favorite 90's bands and I've been thinking about writing this blog for awhile.
The Wallflowers have had several members over the years, with Jakob Dylan being the singer and face of the band. They've released 6 CDs over the years. Their most recent CD was 2012's "Glad All Over". Their most famous CD is their 1996 CD "Bringing Down The Horse". That CD contains most of those songs you think of when you think of The Wallflowers. It features "One Headlight", "6th Avenue Heartache", "Three Marlenas" and "Difference". Other great songs by The Wallflowers include "Some Flowers Bloom Dead", "Murder 101" and "Letters From The Wasteland".
They have toured as late as April of this year, just a few days ago. I would love to see them again, but seem to be on a bit of a hiatus now. On recent sets they've been playing their classics, lesser known songs, some Jakob Dylan solo songs and a cover of Tom Petty's "The Waiting".
1) "The Waiting":
2) "Three Marlenas":
3) "Some Flowers Bloom Dead":
4) "One Headlight":
5) "Letters From The Wasteland":
6) "Murder 101":
7) "Nearly Beloved":
8) "I've Been Delivered":
9) "Sleepwalker":
10) "God Don't Make Lonely Girls":
11) "Laughing Out Loud":
12) "Bleeders":
13) "Everything I Need":
14) "Hospital For Sinners":
15) "First One In The Car":
16) "Reboot The Mission":
17) "It's A Dream":
18) "6th Avenue Heartache":
This song has some of the most incomprehensible lyrics for any song ever. 19) "The Difference":
Every once in awhile I like to post a mash up blog. I post songs from two very different musicians. Both are musicians I like a lot, but they play completely different genres of music. Obviously Stevie Wonder has received plenty of love over the years. Nelly Furtado also got plenty of attention when she broke onto the scene, but when was the last time you thought about her? I don't think about her much other than when one of her amazing songs pops up on my iPod.
