Hello,
The Dodgers were able to hold off the powerful St. Louis Cardinals 5-3 to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Both teams were anemic in driving in runs, they combined to leave 30 men on base. If that sounds like a big number, it is. In fact it is the record for a 9 inning postseason game. The final score of this game should have been 11-9. Game 2 is today with St. Louis sending 19 game winner Adam Wainright against playoff rookie Clayton Kershaw.
Good news Colorado, you made the playoffs. Bad news Colorado, you are down 1-0 and are going against Cole Hamels. Don't be fooled by his 10-11 record and his 4.32 ERA, the man can pitch. He was not only the NLCS MVP but he was also the World Series MVP last season.
While New York-Minnesota takes a break, the fourth ALDS starts today. Boston goes into Anaheim to play the LA Angels. I recently reported an incorrect stat saying that Boston had beat the Angels in 10 consecutive playoff games. That's incorrect. Actually Boston won 9 of their two teams last 10 postseason games and 12 of 13 postseason games overall. The main fact is that Boston has dominated LA in their recent playoff battles. Jon Lester and John Lackey are the starting pitchers today. Go Red Sox! Would it be too much to ask for a Red Sox-Dodgers World Series?
According to Yahoo! Buzz the gorgeous Penelope Cruz is the most searched for person in the world. According to some sources she's engaged to Javier Bardem. That's really interesting considering the roles they played in Vicki Cristina Barcelona. Okay this is mostly an excuse to include a picture of the very hot (moi caliente) Spanish actress.

Here's another hot picture just for the heck of it:
