Hello,
Happy Constitution Day!
After some consternation of mine, Oprah has officially announced that Jonathan Franzen's "Freedom" is her next book club selection. I will give you a review, when I get a chance to read it. I'm number 20 of 20 at the local library.
This year is the 20th anniversary of one of the greatest quirky CD's ever. On January 5th, 1990 They Might Be Giants released "Flood". A CD that has several great, yet unappreciated, songs on it. The most famous song on this CD is "Birdhouse In Your Soul". That's only one of the classic songs on this CD though. Other classic "Flood" songs include "Particle Man", "Istanbul" (Not Constantinople), "Your Racist Friend", "Twisting", "Women and Men" and "Whistling In The Dark". Check it out. You should be able to buy it used at a quality independent record store.
