Boise State had another big victory over a quality opponent, #10 Virginia Tech. A team that looks like they are also going to be a very good team. The game was essentially a home game for Virginia Tech. Congrats to BSU and Va. Tech for manning up and playing a real opponent in their first game of the season. Meanwhile #1 Alabama, #2 Ohio State and #4 Florida played respectively YoMamma State, Choklohoma St. and Creampuff Tech. Seriously Alabama played one of the worst teams in the WAC, at home. They beat San Jose St 48-3. Ohio State played the Marshall not exactly Thundering Herd and beat them 45-7. OSU had a 21-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. Florida looked horrible in playing Miami of Ohio, only winning 34-12. They looked especially weak on the center-quarterback exchange.
Granted Alabama, OSU and Florida's schedules will get tougher later. But after one game BSU played the toughest opponent out of the Top 4 schools, in essentially a road game and beat them. Boise State should be #1.
