(Started June 30th, 2022) Part 1 of The 102 Best Songs of the 1970s

Hello,

The way I'm doing this is I'm going to post the Top 102 greatest 1970s songs in order of the way I thought of them. Once I hit 102 songs I will go and look at the 102 listed songs and see if there are any other songs that the 101st song might be better than. If so I will replace the previously listed song. That way I can stay at 102 songs and have truly the 102 greatest 1970s songs of all-time. This isn't a ranking by best songs, that's just too much work. As best as I can these are the 102 greatest 1970s songs.

I will also post other great 1970s songs by each band listed if motivated enough. As all of these artists are so much more than one of the 100 greatest songs of the 1970s. Yeah I'm going to try and do all the decades from the 1970s to now, some decades will be harder/easier than others. It's likely not all of these songs will still be around in the final edition of this decade's Top 102 Best Songs.

This might be the toughest decade to come up with only 102 greatest songs, there are just so many great songs.

Is this the greatest Disco song of all-time? If not it's damn close. This song is very worthy of every one of it's over 630,000,000 YouTube views. 1) The Bee Gees "Stayin' Alive":

19.5 million YouTube views. 2) Led Zeppelin "Rock and Roll":

5.5 million YouTube views. 3) Billy Joel "Piano Man":

Now this is more like it, over 109 million YouTube views. But it's still not enough views for one of the greatest songs of all-time. 4) Led Zeppelin "Stairway To Heaven":

15.2 million YouTube views. 5) Carly Simon "Nobody Does It Better":

55.6 million YouTube views. 6) Elton John "Your Song":

Just slightly over 5 million YouTube views. 7) Marvin Gayes "Let's Get It On":

Over 2.2 million YouTube views. 8) Cat Stevens "Peace Train":

9) Fleetwood Mac "The Chain":
10) Queen "The Bohemian Rhapsody":
11) James Taylor "Fire and Rain":
Not even 1.4 million YouTube views? This video is over 6 years old so it should have a lot more views. 12) Don McLean "American Pie":

Slightly over 10 million YouTube views. 13) The Doobie Brothers "What A Fool Believes":

14) Tony Orlando and Dawn "Tie A Yellow Ribbon Around The Old Oak Tree":
Slightly over 1 million YouTube views is all. 15) Edwin Starr "War":

Over 4 million YouTube views!! 16) Stevie Wonder "Sir Duke":

17) Eddie Money "Two Tickets To Paradise":
