(Finished December 26th, 2022) Part 4 of According To Ranker.com The Worst Freakin' Songs of the '80s, Ranked (AKA The Most Fun and Ridiculous Songs of the 80s)

Hello,

Some of these somes are truly bad, but some of these are just amazing songs. Now presenting the best of the "worst". The numbers in parenthesis is Rankers' ranking. Some of these songs I've never heard of  so I am going to include them so I can hear them. Part 3 of this blog series will be coming later.

These are the bad/ unknown songs.

15) Dino "That's The Way I Like It":

I love Pat Benatar, but this song is meh. 28) Pat Benatar "Ooh Ooh Song":

Sure this song is silly, but it's not a terrible song. The worst thing about this song is that it's a very catchy earworm. 36) Bobby McFerrin "Don't Worry, Be Happy":

I actually like this song. 37) Alanis Morissette "Too Hot":

When I saw that title I thought to myself that sounded like a Meat Loaf/ Jim Steinman collaboration. Sure enough their version was released two years previously. It didn't chart for Meat Loaf, but went to #18 for Barry Manilow. 38) Barry Manilow "Read 'Em and Weep":

Meat Loaf's version:

Not sure why Ranker listed this song for the 80s when the original wasn't released until 1995. The Fork version wasn't released until 2005 and no I had no clue that version even existed. That Fork version is so obscure that there's not even a video available for it on YouTube. 41) Fork "You Oughta Know":

Instead I'm going to post Alanis' near perfect original, which has had 70 million people view it.

55) Debbie Harry "Backfired":

60 Debbie Gibson "Electric Youth":

66) Kylie Minogue "I Feel For You":

69) Marc Lavoine "C'est La Vie":

Even a great 80s band can have a bad 80s song. But this song is not that song. Although not as well know as many of their other songs this is still a very solid jam. It went to #22 in the UK in 1987. That probably had more to do with Duran Duran fatigue rather than the quality of the song. 80) Duran Duran "Skin Trade":

An inept instrumental cover of the Europe classic. This version quickly becomes unlistenable. 89) Mambo Kurt "The Final Countdown":

This is pretty mediocre by The Eurythmics usually high standards. 128) The Eurythmics "Right By Your Side":

Yes another Jim Steinman sounding title. Once again Steinman is the writer of this song. 138) Bonnie Tyler "Making Love (Out of Nothing At All)":
