The 3rd all-time artist is...

Hello,

My third all-time favorite artist is Guns n' Roses. Still no word on when or if their alleged new CD, "Chinese Democracy" will be released. I have heard rumors about them showing up at the MTV Video Music Awards. I will keep you up to date as I find out anything. They have an official website but it is pretty worthless. So here are some obscure songs that still rock. Basically any song on "Appetite For Destruction" kicks butt. That is probably the best debut CD of all time, and one of the best all-time CD's. Here goes: 1) "Pretty Tied Up" 2) "Mr. Brownstone" That's my favorite Guns n' Roses song. 3) "Estranged" 4) "Shotgun Blues" 5) "Coma" 6) "Dead Horse" 7) "The Garden" 8) "Double Talkin' Jive" 9) "Dust N' Bones" 10) "My Michelle" 11) "Nighttrain" 12) "Yesterdays" 13) "Anything Goes" 14) "Rocket Queen" 15) "Think About You" 16) "Out Ta Get Me" and 17) "It's So Easy".

According to EW magazine, here's the update on some former "American Idol" con- testants. Both David Cook and the other David are working on their debut CD's in between tour stops of the "AI" tour. Cook's CD will probably drop the first part of November with the other David's CD probably dropping later in November. There is no exact date on when that last CD will flame out, probably after Christmas. Kelly Clarkson is in Australia working on her fourth CD. Chris Daughtry is working on his second CD, he's working to release it spring of 2009. (Thanks to EW for the info.)

With us being so poor I will not be able to see the new Batman movie "The Dark Knight" yet. Although almost everything I have heard about it is great. That is other than the Washington Post who calls the movie "dull" but says Heath Ledger is amazing as the Joker. A lot of people are already talking about a posthoumas Oscar for Ledger.

Finally songs that are rocking my iPod. 1) "Fell In Love With You"- Motion City Soundtrack 2) "You Can Call Me Al"- Paul Simon 3) "Oh Father"- Madonna 4) "Didn't We Almost Have It All" 5) "Babe I'm Going To Leave You"- the mighty Led Zeppelin 6) "Travellin"- Matt Mays and El Torpedo 7) "Whole Lotta Love" (Live)- Led Zeppelin 8) "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out"- Morrissey 9) "Can't Tell Me Nothin'"- Tim McGraw.

I will be back Sunday, themusicaddict
