(Finished March 12th, 2021) Part 4 of The Best 70's One Hit Wonders, Songs 52-68

Hello,

As much as possible I tried to locate true one hit wonders, meaning having only one song in the Top Ten. And some of these musicians had multiple country hits, I'm focusing on songs that made the Top Ten in the Billboard Hot 100. Thanks to Ranker.com for the idea for this blog.

Hall had many country hits, but "I Love" was his only pop hit. It went to #12. Hall had many other amazing songs. Those include "(Old Dogs, Children and) Watermelon Wine", "The Year That Clayton Delaney Died" and "Fox On The Run". 52) Tom T. Hall "I Love":

Bonus song Tom T. Hall "The Year That Clayton Delaney Died":

53) Bill Conti "Gonna Fly Now (Theme From 'Rocky')":

54) Sanford & Townsend "Smoke From A Distant Fire":

55) Samantha Song with the Bee Gees  "Emotion":

56) Ronnie McDowell "The King Is Gone":

This only made the Top 12, but it's close enough. 57) Dave Mason "We Just Disagree":

58) Nick Gilder "Hot Child In The City":

This song only reached # 48, so obviously not a hit. However it's a great song so I'm including it here.
59) Emerson, Lake and Palmer "Lucky Man":

60) The Edgar Winter Group "Frankenstein":

61) Rick Derringer "Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo":

62) Paper Lace "The Night Chicago Died":

63) Nicolette Larson "Lotta Love":

64) John Stewart featuring Stevie Nicks "Gold":

65) Maria Muldaur "Midnight At The Oasis":

Frehley is an one hit wonder as a solo act, but obviously he had many hits/ popular songs with Kiss.
66) Ace Frehley "New York Groove":

The album this song is on was released in 1979, although the song wasn't released until March, 1980
I loved this song so much as I kid, now over 40 years later I love it just as much.
67) Lipps Inc. "Funky Town":

68) The Hues Corporation "Rock The Boat":
