This video inspired this blog. But other than Laura Branigan I didn't like the other singers for this blog. These are musicians that died way too young and some of their best songs, whether hits or not. I tried to go with lesser known bands for the most part.
Branigan was 52 when she died, leaving behind many great songs. 1) Laura Branigan "Solitaire":
"Self-Control":
"Gloria":
"Power Of Love":
"The Lucky One":
"Spanish Eddie":
2) Michael Hutchence, died at the age of 37, all of these songs are with INXS: "Need You Tonight":
"Suicide Blonde":
"Do Wot You Do":
"Don't Change":
"Listen Like Thieves":
"New Sensation":
"Beautiful Girl":
"What You Need":
"Original Sin":
"Mystify":
Prince Rogers Nelson was only 57 when he died. Who knows what great songs he would have had up his sleeve if he had lived longer. We all know his classic songs, for the most part I want to highlight his lesser know great songs. 3) Prince
"Witness For The Prosecution (Version 2)":
"Diamonds and Pearls":
"Cream":
"Delirious":
"Moonbeam Levels":
"Trust":
featuring Mavis Staples "Melody Cool":
"HARDROCKLOVER":
"Baltimore":
"Sign O' The Times":
"Pop Life":
"Gett Off":
"Little Red Corvette":
"Take Me With U":
"Cinnamon Girl":
Balin was 76 when he died, in retrospect he's not a great person for this blog series. He lived a good long life and didn't die relatively young. But hey enjoy the good music. 4) Marty Balin "Somebody To Love":
"White Rabbit":
"Hearts":
"Atlanta Lady (Something About Your Love)":
Miss Marie was 54 when she died. 5) Teena Marie "Lovergirl":
"I Need Your Lovin":
"Square Biz":
