(Finished January 9th, 2022) The Best Songs of 1983-1986, Part 5: Songs 81-96

Hello,

This blog is inspired by Season 3 of "Cobra Kai", which takes me back to that extremely fertile time in music of 1983-1986. These are the best of the best songs for those four years. So many of these songs are from 80s movies. The first two blogs in this series have a lot of songs from movies. The other blogs also have movie related songs. I can't remember how many music videos were just basically clips of the movie that song was from. With great 80s music and movies it was such a great time to grow up.

81) The Violent Femmes "Blister In The Sun":

82) U2 "Pride (In The Name of Love)":

83) ABC "Vanity Kills":

84) AC/DC "Who Made Who":

85) U2 "Sunday Bloody Sunday":

86) Chicago "Stay The Night":

87) REO Speedwagon "One Lonely Night":

88) The Smiths "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out":

89) Echo and The Bunnymen "The Cutter":

90) Elton John  "Sad Songs (Say So Much)":

91) Alabama "Can't Keep A Good Man Down":

Quite likely one of the Top 100 songs of all-time. Only slightly over 80 million YouTube views. 92) Madonna "Live To Tell":

647 million YouTube views, I did not see that coming. I'm guessing they wanted to see if this or the Marilyn Manson version is better. Um, not even close. Team Annie and Dave all the way.
93) "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)":

94) Bonnie Tyler "Holding Out For A Hero":

95) The Highwaymen "Highwayman":

96) They Might Be Giants "(She Was A) Hotel Detective":
