(Finished September 18th, 2019) The Best of Female Country Singers in 1972

Hello,

This series of blogs is inspired by Carrie Underwood covering the songs of Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, The Judds, Shania Twain and others. Ironically I'm started in 1970, where the majority of the top songs were sung by men. Even many of the songs sung by women were in a duet- yes with another man. There weren't any duets or trios like Maddie and Tae or Runaway June breaking big then. I tried my best, but some songs were listed in multiple years on various lists I was researching. I apologize for any mistakes, all blame goes to me.

1)  Donna Fargo "Happiest Girl In The Whole U.S.A.":

2) Loretta Lynn "One's On The Way":

3) Tanya Tucker "Delta Dawn":

4) Connie Smith "If It Ain't Love (Let's Leave It Alone)":

5) Donna Fargo "Funny Face":

6) Tanya Tucker "The Jamestown Ferry":

7) Tanya Tucker "No Man's Land":

8) Tammy Wynette "My Man (Understands)":

9) Anne Murray "Cotton Jenny":

10) Dianne Leigh "Sing Happy":

10) Lynn Anderson "Listen To A Country Song":

11) Lynn Anderson "Fool Me":

These last two songs aren't the best, but they are representative of that year for country music.
12) Joyce Seamone "Testing 1-2-3":

13) Shirley Eikhard "Smiling Wine":
