Hello,
From Gibbons' first band, The Moving Sidewalks, to ZZ Top through to his solo work. Also including the best of his one off projects. We're both in for a treat.
This blog will serve a dual purpose. Not only will it feature the best songs of Billy Gibbons. But it will also be a tribute to Gibbons ZZ Top band mate Dusty Hill. Hill was born May 19, 1949 and died today, he was 72. ZZ Top started in 1969 and were active until this year, that's incredible.
A tribute to Hill:
American Blues Is Here was a pre- ZZ Top band that featured Dusty Hill and Frank Beard, which were two thirds of ZZ Top. This is the best I could find of their music. It starts off with a very bluesy cover "If I Were A Carpenter":
18) "La Grange":
19) "Heard It On The X":
20) "Tush":
21) "It's Only Love":
22) "Arrested for Driving While Blind":
23) "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide":
24) "Cheap Sunglasses":
25) "Tube Snake Boogie":
26) "Gimme All Your Lovin'":
27) "Sharp Dressed Man":
28) "Got Me Under Pressure":
18) ZZ Top's cover of the Jimi Hendrix classic "Foxy Lady";
29) "I Got The Six":
30) "Legs":
31) "If I Could Only Flag Her Down":
32) "Sleeping Bag":
33) "Stages":
34) "Rough Boy":
