"Murderer's row" collapse and TCU reigns

Hello,

Last night I had the pleasure of watching the very enjoyable game of TCU defeating Wisconsin. Another one of those mid-major teams beats a BCS team? Again? The MWC finished 4-1 in this season's bowl games. Again this points out the stupidity of the BCS in which teams it says are the best teams. Clearly a spot in one of the big 6 conferences doesn't guarantee how good the conference or the teams in it are. Look at the Big East, they are probably one of the worst college football conferences. At least in the regular season, however they've been decent in the bowl games. Right now they are 3-2 with only mediocre 7-5 Pittsburgh to play 6-6 Kentucky.

As I write about below the Big 10 has been a disaster in bowl games, getting destroyed on New Year's Day. Even the SEC, supposedly the toughest conference in college football, is only 3-3 in the middling SEC.

Thank you BCS for the brilliant match up of the Oklahoma-UConn game. Oklahoma won easily and put a 4 touchdown beatdown on UConn. The BCS once again proves it's worthlessness.

OSU President, G. Gordon Lee, earlier in the season made some disparaging comments about TCU and BSU. At the same time he was praising his conference, The Big Ten, calling it a "murderer's row".

The "murderer's row" started out 2-0 in bowl games, with both Iowa and Illinois winning their games. However yesterday, the Big Ten conference had 5 games. Guess how many they won? That's right, they won a grand total of 0 of those games. Some of the games weren't even close. Wisconsin didn't embarrass themselves and were evenly matched with TCU. Both Northwestern and Penn State lost by relatively respectable scores, but lost. However Mississippi State put a whooping on Michigan 52-14. I think that's the final nail in the coffin for RichRod. Then Alabama destroyed #9 Michigan State. Also Nebraska, who's joining the Big Ten next year got into the act. They lost to Washington 19-7. That wouldn't be such a big deal but Nebraska had destroyed Washington earlier in the season 56-21. It looks like you'll fit right in the Big 10 Nebraska.

Thankfully the Big 10 is in only one more bowl game, in what should be a good game Arkansas will play Ohio Stateon January 4th, 2011. That's G Gordon Lee's school, the Buckeyes.
