Welcome to 1/11/11!, The Not-Karma Bowl

Hello,

Welcome to 1/11/11!

Last night it was disappointing to me that the tarnished Auburn Tigers won the National Championship. At least it was a good game. Now if we could get a playoff and have several good games. Who out there wouldn't love to see at least a plus one of TCU-Auburn. That would also be a great battle. There would only be one undefeated team and without a doubt there would be a clear national champion.

In spite of the BCS' stupidity, three of the five BCS games were competitive. The worst BCS game was the Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma beat UConn 48-20. Going into the bowl game, UConn had lost 4 games. Obviously they had no right being in a BCS Bowl game. None at all and they only got in because of the terrible system currently set up. In the other mismatch Stanford was clearly better to Va. Tech and won easily 40-12.

Also just a follow up to yesterday, it was announced this morning that Verizon is finally getting the iPhone. Fortune magazine predicted that once that happened that Apple would sell 8-9 million iPhones this year. When can you get one of your own? February 10th. Verizon is fixing it's mistake from 5 years ago, when it refused to partner with Apple. It will be interesting to see what happens to AT&T now that it no longer is the exclusive seller of the iPhone.
