Great "Old" Songs

Hello,

Now when I say older songs I mean one of two things. 1) Old songs, at least 30 years old. 2) Songs that sound like they are older than they actually are. For instance, Paper Lace's "The Night Chicago Died" came out in the mid 70's but feels much older. Older songs that are great:

Paper Lace's "The Night Chicago Died":

The Four Seasons' "December, 1963 (Oh What A Night)"

Etta James' "Don't Get Around Much Any More":

I know this selection is definitely thinking outside the box but I really like Bosephus's version of this song, "Ain't Misbehavin":

Ella Fitzgerald's more traditional version of "Ain't Misbehavin":

A heart breakingly beautiful song, Vonda Sheppard's "You Belong To Me":

Skeeter Davis' "The End of the World":

Dion and the Belmonts' "Teenager In Love":

Rickey Nelson's "Travelin Man":

This video must have been choreographed by the Lady Gaga of the day. This seems a little risque for the 60s. Neil Sedaka's "Calender Girl":

The following song is the "Where The Red Fern Grows" of sad songs. One of the best sad songs ever, it takes a great song to make one care about a dragon named Puff. Peter, Paul and Mary's "Puff The Magic Dragon":

Sticking with Peter, Paul and Mary, another classic sad song. A song reinvented for every generation, "Leaving On A Jet Plane":

Judy Collins "Send In The Clowns":

A song that was "born" the same year as I was, 1967. Judy Collins "Both Sides Now":

Harry Chapin's "Cats In The Cradle":

I'd forgotten how much this song rocks, Cat Steven's "Peace Train":

Lulu's "To Sir With Love":

Bread's "Everything I Own":

I could listen to this song over and over again. I'll close with one of the greatest songs ever, The Carpenters' "Superstar":
