Yes! Yes! Jerry Jones Must Go Get Sean Payton

Hello,

This blog is pure fantasy, but indulge me a bit. ESPN.com NFL expert Adam Schefter reports that the NFL has voided Sean Payton's contract extension. Remember Payton has been suspended this season for his role in the overblown bounty scandal- perhaps the most boring and useless sports story in the last 30 years. Payton isn't coaching now and is mainly residing in Dallas. After this season Payton will be a free agent, he can sign wherever he wants to.

Honestly this is the second most exciting news for me this week following the news that there's going to be a "Star Wars 7".

Reasons why Jones should pursue him:

-Payton has coached in Dallas and thus knows the Cowboys culture, including the toxicity of Jerry. For that reason Payton must demand full control over all personnel and coaching decisions. If Payton doesn't receive full control I would recommend him to tell Jones to piss off.

-Payton is a great coach and knows many of the current Cowboys players. Payton also is a Super Bowl winning coach. That would be a big change following Jones last two coaching hires. Wade Phillips had been a head coach before, but had never won a playoff game. Phillips coaching record with the Cowboys was 21-19. Garrett never had been a head coach, his main thing to recommend him for a job was being an inferior offensive coordinator. Garrett's current head coaching record is 16-15. Following Dallas losing to undefeated Atlanta tonight, his coaching record will drop to 16-16. Then the Cowboys probably won't be the favorite next week when they play the Eagles on the road.

-Payton knows Tony Romo. Perhaps Payton can design a offense that can take advantage of Romo's limited skills and minimize his many weaknesses. Jim Harbaugh has been genius in designing his offense to take full advantage of Alex Smith's skills.

-Payton is a great offensive mind. Payton has had success and that gives him instant credibility with the players. Maybe he could mold Dez Bryant into the wide receiver he could be.

Like I said at the top, this blog entry is a complete fantasy. It's well known that Garrett is Jones boy and thus Jones is going to give him every chance to keep his job. Jones desperately craves to be seen as a football genius. He hired Garrett with every thought that Garrett was going to be a great head coach. Jones is going to give Garrett every chance to shine. If Garrett succeeds, then Jones hopes he'll be seen as a football genius for discovering Garrett.

Jones hired Garrett as offensive coordinator before he hired Phillips as head coach. Garrett received the same amount of pay as Phillips did so that Garrett would stick around. When Jones finally came to his senses and fired Phillips, he hired Garrett. Garrett started his head coaching stint in mid season, which basically gave him 8 practice games. Even after Garrett finished only 8-8 last season and blew the chance to get the Cowboys into the playoffs Jones still stuck with him. Unless the Cowboys lose the rest of their games I have a feeling that Jones will continue to stick with him. Jones is very loyal to the people he thinks will help prove he's a football genius.

Please Jerry make one good decision and go after Payton with everything you've got. Let him have full control and stay the hell out of his way.
