(Finished July 31st, 2022) Part 3 of 1984: The Year of Prince & Other Amazing Black Musicians

Hello,

"Dearly beloved we are gathered here to get through this thing called life..." Prince's spoken word begins the song "Let's Go Crazy", one of the most electric starts to a CD ever. "Purple Rain" has gone on to be one of the best CDs of all-time overall and the greatest soundtrack ever. It's hard to believe this CD came out 38 years ago, it sounded way ahead of it's time then and still sounds a bit ahead of it's time now.

1984 was such an incredibly amazing year for music all of kinds, did all of these songs really come out the same year?
