Hello,
As I've been compiling my Top 102 Greatest Songs of each decade from the 50s to the current decade I have found great songs that just don't make the Top 102. These are those songs that are pretty darn good, but just not Top 102. There's still the possibility that some of these songs will ultimately make the final Top 102 Best Songs of the 80s. There have already been a few songs that made the jump from this list to the Top 102 best songs of the 80s.
1) Neil Young "Rockin' In The Free World":
2) Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians "What I Am":
3) Billy Ocean "Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car":
4) Tears For Fears "Everybody Wants To Rule The World":
5) Dire Straits "Money For Nothing":
6) Glenn Frey "You Belong To The City":
7) Peter Schilling "Major Tom":
8) Enya "Orinoco Flow":
Just over one billion YouTube views, which is a lot of views for an 80s classic. 9) Cyndi Lauper "Girls Just Want To Have Fun":
This video was created about the same time as the above song, however it only has slightly over 19 million YouTube views. Both are amazing songs and I wonder what factors makes the difference between one song having so many more views than another song. 10) Janet Jackson "Escapade":
11) Janet Jackson "Black Cat":
12) The Smiths "Girlfriend In A Coma":
13) Jefferson Starship "Find Your Way Back":
14) Jefferson Starship "Stranger":
15) Irene Cara "Flashdance (What A Feeling)":
16) The Scorpions "The Zoo":
17) Bobby Brown "Roni":
18) Jody Watley "Looking For A New Love":
19) Jody Watley "Don't You Want Me":
20) Cher "If I Could Turn Back Time":
21) John Lennon "Watching The Wheels":

The sultriness and sexiness of the Bond girl. 24) Rita Coolidge "All Time High":
25) Nine Inch Nails "Down In It":
26) Nine Inch Nails "Head Like A Hole":
27) The Police "King of Pain":
28) Whitney Houston "Love Is A Contact Sport":
