Man up LeBron!!, Here come the Pirates!

Hello,

LeBron James how do you feel? Do you like people questioning your heart? Do you like the constant focus on how little you've delivered in this Finals, especially the 4th quarter. Do you like DeShawn Stevenson saying you "checked out" of Game 4? It's time to man up tonight. It's time to grab this series by the throat and not let go until Miami is the NBA Champs! Shut up the doubters right now. Find a way to beat the Mavericks tonight. Then in Game 6 you will be on national TV in prime time and can win your first title. Do you really want to hear all summer about the would of, could of, should of the NBA Finals?

James is calling tonight's game the "biggest" of his career. The great news for LeBron is that he doesn't have to do it by himself. He has Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh to help him as well. Those aren't the only teammates that have stepped up and helped.

Can someone please tell me why DeShawn Stevenson continues to talk? Did the Mavericks vote him to be the team idiot? Why is a person playing 19 minutes a game talking so much? I know he had three straight three pointers for the Mavs Tuesday night, but what else has he done? Don't worry everyone he'll be out of the NBA soon.

I love Dirk Nowitski calling this game tonight the Mavs "Game 7". I understand the point he's making, but I still think he's being silly. After Dallas loses, does that mean they aren't going to Miami? Of course they are, his thought process is a bit flawed.

With all the bravado and talk I'm so pumped up for tonight's game. I still predict that Miami wins this series in 6 games. (I dread to say they could have won this series in 4 games.) Also for some reason I have the feeling that one of these games is going to be a blowout for Miami. I would love to see the Heat completely take the crowd out of the game from the opening tip. I also hope Dirk enjoys his last trip to the Finals.

The Pirates continue to improve and play hard nosed baseball. Last night Pittsburgh beat Arizona 3-2 on Andrew McCutcheon's walk off 12th inning home run. This is the latest in the season that Pittsburgh has been at .500 since June 11th, 2005. I don't expect a whole lot more than what we are getting from the Pirates this season. I'd be very happy if the Pirates finish a bit above .500. They need to focus on learning how to play as a team and get into the habit of winning. Pittsburgh plays one more game against Arizona and then they close out their home stand against the woeful Mets. New York is 29-32 this season. And according to espn.com, they have the Mets have the second worst ownership group next to the Dodgers. (I'm hoping that McCourt isn't able to make the June 15th payroll. There's also a hearing on June 22nd with Jamie McCourt trying to force Frank to sell the team.) (Thanks to espn.com)

Today is the birthday of one of the all-time greatest Pirates, Mr. Dave Parker. Happy 60th birthday to the Cobra. From wikipedia.org: "Parker's career achievements include 2712 hits, 339 home runs, 1493 runs batted in and a lifetime batting average of .290. Parker was also known as a solid defensive outfielder during the first half of his career, with a powerful arm. From 1975 to 1979, he threw out 72 runners, including 26 in 1977." He also was one of the key Pirates during their magical 1979 "We Are Family" World Series triumph.

Here's the only clip I could find of the Pirates magical run. This kind of chaos would never go on today:

Here's the Sister Sledge classic "We Are Family":
