Hello,
Thursday night, BYU's amazing basketball season came to an end. It was an amazing ride and there were some incredible moments. I just want to thank everyone that was involved in this amazing ride. BYU has won 3 NCAA Tourney games over the last 2 years. I know for some programs that doesn't sound like a lot. But after 17 years of futility, winning 3 NCAA games and getting to the Sweet Sixteen feels pretty good.
Thanks Dave, Jimmer, Jackson and everyone else for this amazing season.
Next season is going to be a bit rough, BYU's first season in the WCC. At least BYU has a solid foundation for next season. Charles Abuou, Noah Hartsock and James Anderson will be back for their senior years. Brandon Davies may or may not be back for his junior year. Kyle Collinsworth will be going on his mission but I think his brother will be playing next season. He missed most of this season because of injuries. It looks like they have a couple of promising incoming freshmen and probably a returning missionary or two.
I see Kyle Collinsworth having a lot of upside when he gets back from his mission. I think he's going to be a special player as well. I just hope BYU can get a deeper team surrounding him, this season's team just wasn't deep enough. The teams that are relatively deep are doing well in this season's NCAA Tournament.
