EarlyRise Reaches Their Kickstarter.com Goal + Amanda Palmer

Hello,

Congrats to EarlyRise for reaching their $15,000 Kickstarter.com goal. Not only did they make their goal but they exceeded it by over $3000. They made 122% of their goal with $18,338. I'm proud to call myself one of their 408 backers. They'll now be able to independently make their second CD with this money. It should see the light of day December of this year. Of course that date is very tentative. Of course I'll be passing on updates as they come.

While EarlyRise reaching their goal was very impressive, I was overwhelmed by what one of Amanda Palmer's Kickstarter projects did. The Dresden Dolls singer had a goal to reach $100,000 for a new CD, book and tour. She ended up pulling in $1,192,783 meaning she funded her goal 1,192%. That's been the highest funded music project on Kickstarter.com ever. Impressive.
