Jerry Jones Wants The Credit: What The Hell Is He Talking About Now? (Updated Feb 27th, 2013)

Hello,

Jerry Jones, the super egoist, strikes again:

“I would grant you the decisions that have been made over the years have not produced a Super Bowl, two Super Bowls or three Super Bowls that I would like to have been a part of,” Jerry said this weekend at the scouting combine while sitting in his beautiful new luxury bus, the mobile version of JerryWorld. “And the only thing I am going to do there is keep trying and then make sure I get the credit when we do get that one.

“Y’all are going to give it to me, aren’t you?”

Jerry if you ever wonder why people hate you read what you said above. First of all you do all kinds of harm to the English language. Second you are more interested in getting credit than winning. Thirdly, while people are suffering world wide, you have a luxury tour bus. Those 3 things show what makes you such a giant douche bag.

Let's see, I'm glad that Jones realizes that the Cowboys haven't won a Super Bowl. Of course common sense and all Cowboys fans would also gladly tell him that. And I'm glad he's going to keep trying. But why does he want the damn credit so much? Let the people that really know football make the football decisions and then glory when your team is successful. But no that's not good enough for Jerry. He has to win and he has to get the glory, therein lies the problem. It's also the reason the Cowboys are going to continue being an afterthought while Jones continues to be their owner.

OK Jerry Jones I'll give you credit. The Cowboys have won a grand total of one playoff game in the last 16 years. That's all because of your brilliant decisions Jerry. (Really someone needs to invent a font for when people are being sarcastic.) Jerry, without your guiding influence the Cowboys might have lucked into two playoff wins in that time. But thanks to Jones' continual atrocious decisions two playoff wins was too much for ask for.

Along with his miserable personnel decisions another weakness of Jones is managing the salary cap. Right now the Cowboys are $20 million over the salary cap. Instead of eating the contracts this season to prepare better for the future they are probably going to restructure most of those contracts. That will enable them to get under the salary cap for this season. But what will that do going forward? That will push more money into next year's salary cap, meaning next year the Cowboys will again be over on the salary cap. Do you see a trend here? But even worse is the dead cap space that Jones terrible decisions make. Although Roy Williams wasn't on the Cowboys last season, he still counted about $7 million against the Cowboys cap. Yes, Jerry I'm giving you the credit you crave so much for making another one of your stupid personnel decisions.

Today at ESPN Dallas they posed the question: will Jerry Jones ever win a Super Bowl again? I was surprised only 63% thought that he would never win a Super Bowl again. But the truly hard core fans, the ones who take the time to comment on ESPN's stories, seem to be running about 80% against the Jones ever winning another Super Bowl.

Honestly I hope this is the year that the Cowboys hit their nadir. I would love to see them crawl to only 2 or 3 wins the whole season. Would that be enough to show Jerry that his way doesn't work? Probably not! He still hasn't learned after 16 years of his own futility and is still living on the glory of the Jimmy Johnson era. Jones thinks that early 90's glory belongs is because of him. No it was simply the first of many hundreds of horrible decisions made by Jones.

Jerry you are truly an embarrassment to the Cowboys, to the city of Dallas and to the NFL. ESPN Dallas writer Tim MacMahon says it better than I ever could.

The biggest bunch of bull heard around Valley Ranch -- and there’s a lot of it -- is the line about Jerry being willing to do whatever it takes to win. If that were the case, he’d hire a legitimate GM, get out of the way and just focus on being a marketing genius.

But America’s Team will continue being a mediocre mess because Jerry craves credit more than he wants to win.

Thanks Tim for poking holes in Jones delusional thoughts.

Jerry Jones, please take Manti Te'o and go away.
