Hello,
Sunday is the big day for both the Cowboys and Redskins. Dallas has to win to get in, if the Redskins win they will also get in. The Redskins are trying to win their first division title since 1999. They also can still get in if other games break their way. Originally this was suppose to be an early game Sunday, however NBC "flexed" it to Sunday Night Football. NBC I don't appreciate that. I liked that originally the game was going to be played while I was at church. Then when I got home the game would be almost over. That's what happened this past Sunday, and I didn't have to hear about the Cowboys melting down.
In the previous years if Dallas was in a similar situation, I'd be hoping that the Cowboys would win. However that's not the case this season. Not only do I hope the Cowboys lose, but I hope that they get blown out. Why? Because I hate Jason Garrett and he's shown he's not going to take the Cowboys to the next level. I don't even know if he'll take the Cowboys to the playoffs. He's an average coach and that's exactly what his record indicates. Garrett has been much better at getting moral victories than actual victories. Too bad nobody remember moral victories.
I especially want Garrett sent on his way if the Cowboys have any chance of grabbing Sean Payton. If Cowboys fans want their team to get to the next level, they need a next level coach. Payton has won a Super Bowl! What has Garrett won? Not a damn thing. He's been with the Cowboys in a high level position for five years and the Cowboys have only made the playoffs one time. They have a chance to go again this year, but I doubt they'll make it.
Dallas has been in win and get in situations twice in the time Garrett has been with the Cowboys. The first time was in 2008 when the head coach was Wade Phillips, one of Idiot Jerry's many terrible coaching hires. Garrett was the offensive coordinator at the time and his offense was only able to score 6 points. There probably shouldn't be too much blame laid at the feet of Garrett as the Eagles were just on fire that day. The Eagles weren't going to be denied.Phillips just didn't have the Cowboys prepared. The Eagles cruised to a 44-6 victory, one of the most spectacular failures in Cowboys history.
The second time the Cowboys were in the win and get in situation was last season. Sadly Garrett had become head coach by that point. The Cowboys continued their unimpressive string of choking down the stretch. The Giants jumped out to a 21-0 lead and coasted to a 31-14 victory. The Cowboys could have won and gone into the playoffs, instead they finished third place in the NFC East.
Oh yeah and on the final week of the season the Cowboys are 2-10 since 2000. In case you are wondering yes that's the worst last game of the season record by any NFL team. What's different this year so the Cowboys can actually win? Romo is 1-5 in win or go home games.
Some predictions about Sunday's game.
1) Due to a dumb coaching move or moves by Garrett, the Cowboys will lose. This is the same man who iced his own kicker a couple of years ago.
2) The Redskins will jump out to at least a two touchdown lead. Then only at that point the Cowboys will go to the hurry up offense and make a come back. The Cowboys have been their most successful on offense when they've been in the hurry up this season. Yes the Cowboys are better when their head coach isn't in charge of the offense. What does that tell you? However Garrett doesn't like to use the hurry up until he absolutely has to.
3) DeMarco Murray will have another damaging fumble and Miles Austin will have a few drops. Also I wouldn't be surprised if either injury prone player gets injured in this game.
4) Tony Romo and Dez Bryant will play out of their heads again and have the Cowboys on the verge of the playoffs, but will finish just short. In the most crucial situation of the game Garrett will decide not to go to Bryant.
5) We'll see Jerry's ugly face way too many times.
My final prediction, the Cowboys will lose by double figures and finish 8-8 yet again. However Idiot Jerry will stick with Jason Garrett for another year. That means about another 8-8 season next year.
