Dallas Cowboys 2012 Season Wrap Up

Hello,

These are the predictions I made this past Wednesday about the Dallas Cowboys against the Redskins:

1) Due to a dumb coaching move or moves by Garrett, the Cowboys will lose. This is the same man who iced his own kicker a couple of years ago.

What happened: Garrett called an okay game, but he really is overmatched as a coach. His coaching record is now 21-19, a record that perfectly indicates what kind of coach he is. An average record for an average coach. I did think it was curious when Garrett decided not to go for a field goal at the end of the first half, especially with such a nearly automatic kicker. I have no confidence in anything he does.

2) The Redskins will jump out to at least a two touchdown lead. Then only at that point the Cowboys will go to the hurry up offense and make a come back. The Cowboys have been their most successful on offense when they've been in the hurry up this season. Yes the Cowboys are better when their head coach isn't in charge of the offense. What does that tell you? However Garrett doesn't like to use the hurry up until he absolutely has to.

What happened: The Redskins lead a majority of the game, but never lead by two touchdowns. Maybe if Griffin had been fully healthy they would have. I only remember seeing the Cowboys going into the hurry up for just a few places.

3) DeMarco Murray will have another damaging fumble and Miles Austin will have a few drops. Also I wouldn't be surprised if either injury prone player gets injured in this game.

What happened: This was one of the easier predictions to make. Overall DeMarco Murray played a great game and didn't have any turnovers. However Miles Austin was a complete disgrace again. The injury prone player missed time for yet another injury. He also completely disappeared. He was targeted 3 times and had 0 receptions. It's time for Miles Austin to go away.

4) Tony Romo and Dez Bryant will play out of their heads again and have the Cowboys on the verge of the playoffs, but will finish just short. In the most crucial situation of the game Garrett will decide not to go to Bryant.

What happened: Romo and Bryant were both serviceable but neither player played great. Romo had 3 soul crushing interceptions, including the final one that really hurt the Cowboys. Romo is now 1-6 in win or go home games. The Cowboys have missed the playoffs 4 times in the last 5 years and are now 2-11 since 2000 in Week 17 of the regular season. Romo did choke in this game, but in no way is he the biggest problem. He is what he is. He's better than most quarterbacks in the NFL, but I also don't think he's good enough to get the Cowboys to the next level.

Enough can't be said about the courage that Bryant played with down the final stretch of this season. He played with a broken finger. Not only did he play, but he played well. He was the most valuable Cowboys player this season. Not let's just hope that he doesn't do something stupid in the off season. When he has too much time on his hands and gets bored, that's when he usually does something very stupid.

5) We'll see Jerry's ugly face way too many times.

What happened: The first time we saw his ugly face was too many times.

My final prediction, the Cowboys will lose by double figures and finish 8-8 yet again. However Idiot Jerry will stick with Jason Garrett for another year.  That means about another 8-8 season next year.

What happened: The Cowboys lost by double figures, 28-18, and did finish 8-8 again. Unfortunately the Cowboys were just good enough to probably save Garrett's job. Also Jones has a man crush on Romo. So not only will he be back next season, but Jones will sign him to extension. Whether you like Romo or not, he's going to be the Cowboys quarterback for the next few years unless of an injury. The Cowboys will continue being mediocre for the foreseeable future.

Jerry Jones you suck and you are a complete idiot. Please step down as Cowboys GM before the tarnish is completely worn off the Cowboys. I'm not even mad about the Cowboys choking yet again, I'm more resigned to it. I mean it's not a big surprise. But I hope that this collapse will finally spur Jones to make some significant changes.

Namely for Jones to let someone that knows what they are doing to take over as GM. Fire Garrett tomorrow. Get rid of Austin, Mike Jenkins, Orlando Scandrick and a few others.
