Wichita State Shockers: What A Great Run!

Hello,

As I jumped on the Shockers bandwagon I feel I should offer a postmortem on their season. I predicted the Shockers would keep the game close for about the first 30 minutes, but then the Cardinals defense would clamp down on their way to a 20 point victory. I'm so glad I was wrong about WSU losing by about 20 points. The Shockers came out with a great game plan, one I'm sure that Michigan will try to implement parts of, and had a decent chance to win this game. It was a great game and a great run by the Shockers. Congratulations to Coach Gregg Marshall and his players. Big thumbs up to Cleanthony Early for his two humongous late tip ins.

I'm not a big conspiracy theorist. However I did find it strange that with about 10 minutes left in the game that the Cardinals had committed 10 team fouls. That meant that the Shockers were in the double bonus for the rest of the game. But then something strange happened and all of a sudden Louisville stopped committing fouls? How does that happen? The Shockers only had a few more free throw attempts after that.

How bad is CBS's announcing crew? Jim Nantz is okay, but the other two announcers are terrible. I didn't think that CBS could do worse than ACC homer Billy Packer, but I'm starting to think I was wrong. Steve Kerr is always behind the team that's suppose to win and talks that team up incessantly. And Clark Kellogg repeats himself over and over again. Also to the CBS announcers, sometimes silence is a perfectly acceptable alternative. You don't need to talk every second!

CBS needs to dump Kerr and Kellogg and raid ESPN's much better announcing crews, well other than past his time Dick Vitale.

As for the national championship game of Michigan vs. Louisville, I think I'm going to pass. I predict the Cardinals will win and don't need me watching. Maybe the MLBN will have a good game on to watch.
