Fire Wade Phillips 3

Hello,

Dallas you must cast out the evil demon that is Wade Phillips. The man is just not cut out to be a head coach. He obviously has no idea how to resolve Dallas's problems. Jerry how long do us, the fans, have to wait until the Cowboys are 1-15 before you do something? Dallas next goes on the road to play the also underachieving Vikings on Sunday. After losing that game Dallas will be 1-4.

Phillips teams obviously have no discipline or leadership. What the heck was up with that penalty where Jason Witten and the offensive lineman bumped chests. That was a 15 yard penalty which forced the kicker to kick the ball differently than he normally would have. That led to an excellent kickoff return which put the Titans in position to score an easy touchdown. That leads directly back to a lack of discipline and leadership.

I watched the end of that game and a few minutes later I watched the end of the Atlanta Braves collapse to San Francisco. I was much more disappointed by Atlanta's loss because I'm hoping the Cowboys losing will cause a much needed housecleaning in Dallas.

Jason Garrett is hopeless as the offensive coordinator and Tony Romo continues to play his normal game. You look at his stat and you think great player. You watch him play and you think it's time to build for the future. Romo isn't the long term answer in Dallas and he's barely the short term answer. Just for the rest of this season. Arizona cut worthless Matt Leinart, I wish Dallas would do the same thing with Romo. Dallas is never going to win a Super Bowl with Phillips as head coach or Romo as quarterback. Then if both are in place, well you see what that gets you.

Romo threw two interceptions in the fourth quarter and hit the defenders in the hands with the ball a couple of other times that same quarter.

Jerry it's time to make a move. Jerry I know you were excited to possibly host the Super Bowl in your stadium. But it's not going to happen and it's time to cut your losses. Ultimately you are responsible for the product on the field. You need to make a move now, there's no reason to keep Phillips as a head coach. Go get Bill Cowher or Jon Gruden and get a real coach. Both of those coaches have won Super Bowls, Phillips has only won one playoff game. My favorite quote, that I use a lot on this blog, comes from Bill Parcells: "You are what your record says you are". Phillips postseason record says he's a loser and that's what he is. Please start over.

I'm going to think about this tonight and add more to this blog tomorrow sometime. A change desperately needs to be made. (Not that it compares but BYU fired their defensive coordinator and they won their next game.)
