MLB Playoffs Make or Break Day, Loozer strikes again

Hello,

Along with nearly a full slate of NFL regular season games today, there are also several important MLB games. With today being the last day of the MLB regular season, there are several make or break games today.

A preview of each decisive game today.

The one most crucial to me is played at 11:35 MDT, that's Atlanta playing Philadelphia. Although Philadelphia isn't playing for anything, they've battered Atlanta in the two previous games. That leaves Atlanta in a very precarious position. Atlanta needs to win today or they won't be going to the playoffs. If they win and San Diego wins they'll play a tie breaker tomorrow at Turner Field. If Atlanta wins and San Diego loses, Atlanta goes into the playoffs as the NL Wild Card team. If Atlanta loses the only place they are going is home. Also of note, today is Bobby Cox's last regular season as Braves manager. Let's see if we can send him off with a World Series Atlanta.

In honor of Atlanta making the playoffs with their gritty 8-7 victory over Philadelphia:

Meanwhile San Diego isn't only playing for their playoffs life, they have a chance to win the NL West today as well. They are playing a 3 game series with San Francisco, that's the team they are battling with for the NL West. The series is being played in San Francisco and all San Francisco had to do was win 1 of 3 games. However San Diego has won the first two games, which sets up today's momentus series finale. That game will be played at 2:05 MDT.

San Diego lost 3-0 to San Francisco to be eliminated from the playoffs. The playoffs start for Atlanta on Thursday. San Francisco will be hosting Atlanta starting Thursday, the series starts in San Francisco. I'm glad Atlanta isn't playing Philadelphia in the playoffs in the first round, Philadelphia is rolling right now.

Then in the AL East, Boston is playing New York and Tampa Bay is playing Kansas City. Both New York and Tampa Bay are guaranteed to go to the playoffs. What they are playing for today is who will go in as the AL East champs and who will go in as the AL Wild Card. I don't care about either the Yankees or the Rays. I'm a Boston fan and loved seeing Boston beat New York one more time and the Yanks are relegated to the AL Wild Card. I loved seeing Boston beat New York four of the final six times they played. Too little, too late for Boston this season. But hopefully it fires them up for next season, hopefully they won't have so many injuries next year.

Minnesota doesn't have a chance for the AL home field advantage throughout the playoffs. However they will be hosting the AL Wild Card team starting Wednesday. Go adopted Twins! As mentioned above the AL Wild Card team is the Yankees. They played last season and there were some dubious officiating calls that went against New York. This is a good chance for the Twins to advance in the playoffs and exact a little revenge.

On a day Carlos Loozer broke his hand and is out for 8 weeks. That's hilarious. Carlos Boozer use to play for my team, the Jazz. Along with being a malcontent, Boozer misses about 30% of his games due to "injuries" and is divisive in the locker room. He doesn't play hard often enough, doesn't play defense and is weak in the clutch. Thank you Chicago Bulls for taking him off the Jazz's hands. Carlos Boozer is the classic example of addition by subtraction. Jazz fans called him "Loozer". Enjoy Chicago! This is what's going to happen his whole time in Chicago until you get sick of him and pawn him off on to another sucker.

Oh yeah he isn't going to win you any titles, he likes to talk about it. However he doesn't care enough to make maximum effort to win those titles. Thanks again Chicago!
