Hello,
The Yankees and their incredibly high payroll strike again. New York beat Minnesota for the second day in a row. New York now leads 2-0 in games, going back to the new Yankees Stadium. I'm so tired of them winning so much because they have seemingly unlimited resources. They are playing a good team, but just not good enough.
It looks like the AL Championship Series is practically set, it will be the Yankees against the Rangers. The highest paying team in MLB against the 26th (of 30) highest paying team for the right to go to the World Series. Texas has completely dominated Tampa Bay, the Rays have only scored one run in the two games so far. Games 3 & 4 will be in Texas.
Then Game 1 of the NLDS was played tonight, with the Giants Tim Linecum playing the role of the Terminator. He absolutely dominated the Braves, he only gave up two hits. Lincecum also had 14 strikeouts in his masterful performance. San Francisco now leads that series 1-0.
Received the new Fortune magazine today in the mail. On the cover is Oprah and the cover asks:
Oprah's Next Act. I have an idea: go away. Then I started thinking of everyone else who should go away: Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, almost anyone in a leadership position in the Republican party the last several years, Kid Rock, Ozzy and Sharon's kids....
