Getting ready to rock!, Save "Rubicon", "Mad Men"

This is my friend's book, he's trying to draw attention to a book he has written. Check it out on facebook. Here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=304984697029 He describes the book as: "I've written a novel called “Wilderness” which I'm sending out to agents (think "Calvin and Hobbes" written by Neil Gaiman)" He also says "one who friends the group will get any messages from me, they will just be helping a young aspiring novelist." I think that's a worthy cause.

Hello,

My drive music today was Buckcherry's best CD "15". This CD features such great songs as "Sorry", "Everything", "Next To You", "Broken Glass" and "Crazy Woman". (I hate so much the real title of that last song and the words of the chorus. However musically the song is amazing.) In my opinion Buckcherry should be the headliner on this tour. Their "15" CD has more good songs than all of Nickelback's catalog. In fact Nickleback may be the third best band on their own tour. I listened to a few hours of Three Days Grace the other day and they are also pretty good. I suggest that Nickelback is this decade's Creed, except with less personality.

Having said that I think that Nickelback is an okay band, just not a headliner. I'm hoping I'm pleasantly surprised by them Wednesday night.

Two season finale's for great AMC series last night. "Rubicon" is the moody, slow paced, building tension series. There weren't many revelations last night, those came in the previous week. My favorite scene was when Truxton Spangler, who's not long for the world, harangued his API colleagues to find who had sunk the tanker off of Galveston Bay. He's the one behind the organization that sunk that tanker! I just loved everything going on in that scene. Spangler's organization, Atlas McDowell, has done a good job of setting up the Iranians as the scapegoat. Too bad for them, Will Travers is on the scene. I just wanted to yell at Grant when he was going on about this closure is what the API analysts wanted. Me last night: "Yes Grant this is what you want, but isn't it a little too conveinant?" He seems to be more pliable than Will, which I think led to his promotion.

Will finally confronted Truxton last night, a slow building showdown. Truxton no longer cares if he presents his report, he know he's not long for this world. Truxton left behind a 4 leaf clover. Within minutes of seeing the four leaf clover, the holder of has died. If there's a season two of "Rubicon", he probably won't be back. Again Spangler did replace Will with Grant though as the analyst's team leader. That's okay with Will Travers as he has bigger fish to fry. What will Will's role be in next season?

AMC PLEASE BRING THIS AMAZING, THOUGHT-PROVOKING SHOW BACK!

Then there's no doubt that "Mad Men" will be back for Season 5. This continues to be one of the best shows on the TV, if not the best. The acting, writing and characters are all amazing. 5 sets of questions for season 5!

1) Will Don and Megan even get married with his wandering eye and morals? Wasn't them getting engaged just a little too quick. If they do get married, how long until Don starts cheating on her. The man doesn't understand or respect the idea of being faithful. That concept is foreign to him. Wasn't Megan a little concerned that he was dating Faye while sleeping with her. Is she so young, that that doesn't raise a red flag? I'm happy for Don and Megan, but how long will that relationship last. How glad is Roger Sterling, now that he's not the only partner to have married his secretary. Sterling is not the most faithful person either. Finally what exactly was Betty wanting when Don showed up last night at 7:00. She wanted something because she was looking radiant. Finally just from a parent's perspective, why did Don leave Gene in the hotel room by himself. What would have happened if Gene had woken up?

2) How long until we find out in Season 5 that Joanie's Greg is dead. He's an even more annoying character than Pete. He's an idiot, he raped his wife, he's a bad doctor. Really how realistic is it that Joan would marry that weasel. Also shouldn't a doctor have a better grasp on the time frame between sex and pregnancy? I'll be glad to see him go. Does that mean that Joanie and Roger are finally going to get together for good? Also what is Roger going to think when he finds out Joans pregnant with his child? They've been circling each other since Season One. (Seriously I love this show and all the questions it raises.)

3) Was last night the last time we see creepy Glen? Am I the only one that was repulsed by him hugging Sally? Yuck. I'm also so glad that ew.com's Michael Ausiello was wrong when he predicted that Sally may try to commit suicide. In fact Sally was far from suicide on last night's sunny and hopeful show. I expect her role is going to continue to expand in future seasons, a development I welcome. What's with Betty firing Carla, and what's with "Mad Men" giving up on long-time characters. Carla and Sal need to come back next season. Also did Henry challenge Betty just right when he pointed out that Betty thinks no one is ever on her side?

4) Speaking of Betty Draper, the absolutely stunning January Jones, can she be in more episodes next season? Jones was looking stunning last night. What's going to happen with Betty next season? Obviously both her and Henry are dissatisfied with their marriage. Betty is good to look at, but she's kind of vacant. January Jones is one of the many fine actors on this show.

5) What will happen to Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce? Last night's show was very hopeful, things are looking up a bit. They got their first new business in 10 weeks, Topaz panty hose. Thanks to Peggy, she's the unsung heart of this show. Her character is a very work man like character. SCDP also moved to a second stage in having the American Cancer Society's business (at least I think that's who it is.) How much money do they have though to pay for an ad campaign. Other than going to funerals, using Faye's connections illicitly how else will they bring in business. They are far away from being solvent. I'm tired of the firm being in financial trouble, maybe a little stability next year would be good Matthew W.

Also what does it say about America that "Jack--- 3D" earned $50 it's first weekend? The dumbing down of America continues unabated.
