"No Ordinary Family", the Jazz's Improbable Victory

Hello,

"No Ordinary Family" was back again tonight, another very good episode. A great cast, great stories and a pleasing sense-of-humor. Although seeing previews for next week's show I'm getting a little nervous. It seems like next week's episode is going to have the "E.R." problem. That story is sacrificed to have something very dramatic happen. If that actually is next week's episode, I hope it's once in a very rare while.

The other thing I wish this show would work on is how bumbling Jim Powell is. He always seems to be making the wrong move, the wrong decision, causing more problems than he's solving. Can we get this character to the point where these things don't seem to happen. Stephanie and JJ seem to have their powers figured out and under control. Daphne is still learning the extent of her powers. Now if Jim can just get it figured out that would be great.

The Jazz were down by 22 points at one point. They were playing the Miami Heat, the team featuring James, Wade and Bosh. Miami was playing at home, where they hadn't lost all season. The Jazz also hadn't won in Miami in 7 years. In the overtime Deron Williams and Al Jefferson didn't play. Somehow the Jazz still won. Lead by Paul Milsap's 46 points the Jazz won 116-114.

A lot of things had to go right for the Jazz to win this game, highlighted by Milsap hitting 3 pointers with 12.1 and 4.3 in regulation. Then with time running out he rebounded the ball and scored the tying basket.

As a Jazz fan I'm very excited about this, but I still don't think the Jazz will do a lot of damage in the postseason this year. They seem to have one highlight each year on their way to another mediocre season. Last year point guard Sundiata Gaines hit a three-pointer in SLC to knock off Cleveland and Lebron James.

Also a memo to all Ute fans, buck up. Your Utes will be just fine. I know not going to a BCS Bowl is very disappointing but there's nothing wrong with a 12-1 season. If you think you got it bad, just look at your future Pac 12 Conference mates, Colorado. Just please go into South Bend and beat the hell of Notre Dame please.

This is a friend's book, "Wilderness" he's drawing attention to the book he has written. Check it out on facebook. Here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=304984697029 He describes the book as: "I've written a novel called “Wilderness” which I'm sending out to agents (think "Calvin and Hobbes" written by Neil Gaiman)" He also says "one who friends the group will not get any messages from me, they will just be helping a young aspiring novelist." I think that's a worthy cause.
