Give Boise State a shot!, Jerry Jones is an idiot

Hello,

I watched a bit of the Boise State-Idaho game tonight and BSU completely dominated the Vandals. At halftime BSU led 38-0 and the Broncos were as dominating as the score suggests. Here's a stat for you when the opposing team gets in the Broncos 20 yard line, they only score 53% of the time, yes that includes field goals. BSU has won 23 games in a row. I don't care who you play, but you have to be a great team to win that many in a row. They are going to roll to 26 victories in a roll also. Next they play 6-2 Fresno State in Boise. That will be a BSU blowout. Then after Thanksgiving, they go on the road to play Nevada. Don't let what you hear about Nevada fool you. They are truly over rated. They are 8-1 and # 21 in the nation. That might be a close game, in other words BSU might only win by 21 points. Then BSU plays a JV team, the Utah State Aggies. At that point BSU will be 12-0 and it what will be interesting to see what creative way the BCS screws BSU.

And about the strength of schedule thing, I know BSU and TCU would be glad to play the alleged big boys. But the power conferences like to load up their schedules with home games. So if they do play a BSU et. al they want to play at home. They rarely agree to a home and home series. Just another way the big boys hide.

I watch TCU, BSU and Utah all play and I just know no matter what happens, the BCS isn't going to allow a non-AQ team play in the National Championship game. Also it wouldn't surprise me that if both TCU and BSU make a BCS bowl that the BCS will have them play against each other. That's what happened last year. That way they can get no damage to their brand. They didn't want BSU and TCU to defeat two teams from their respective conferences. The BCS doesn't want to expose the lameness of their teams.

It cracks me up that the BCS is formed to protect itself. The BCS is a college football dictatorship. I wish that the Utes, Broncos and Horned Frogs all get a chance to show what they can do in an appropriate bowl. A couple years ago Utah completely dominated Alabama in the Sugar Bowl and I still hear people making excuses for Alabama to this day. Why can't they just admit they were outplayed? It's not that Utah won, it's that Alabama lost.

The BCS sucks. It's a shame that such obvious corruption exists in America. To no one's surprise the BCS is all about money and not competition. If it was about competition there would be a playoff. If they wanted there to be a true National Champion there would be a less haphazard way to decide it. Sports Illustrated has an excellent article about the bs behind the BCS. The cover screams "How (and why) the BCS is Blocking What College Football Needs". The answer of course is greed. I just hope the BCS's greed doesn't ruin the greatest sport we have in America.

Jerry Jones again has cast himself into the national spotlight. He said some Super Bowl winning coaches enquired about the Dallas Cowboys coaching job before hiring Wade Phillips. Obviously Jones didn't hire said coaches. Who can blame Jones, why would you hire a coach that has won a Super Bowl when he could hire a coach who'd NEVER WON A PLAYOFF GAME! I wish Jones would sell the Cowboys and go run the BCS. Two things that deserve each other.
